MWS Wire Wheel Finishes
(XW range)

CHROMED WIRE WHEELS

The rim and shell are polished to superior finish in special purpose machines. The hand polishing by highly skilled craftsmen compliments this. The nickel plating is done by the Duplex Method, in which a decorative bright nickel layer is plated over a strong inner semi-bright layer of nickel. The surface finish is enhanced by using technologically latest levelling brightness. To enhance the corrosion resistance, microporous nickel plating is done prior to chrome plating. Expertise in plating technology enables the product to conform to the International Standards ISO 1456-1988 (E) Service Condition (4) corresponds to exceptionally severe condition of atmosphere to which the plating can withstand. 100% inspection of the plating ensures only the best quality products are passed out.

PAINTED WIRE WHEELS

The MWS wire wheels are primer coated by first using Cathodic Electrophoretic Technology. This increases the corrosion resistance to very high levels. An overcoat of silver grey follows this.Salt spray resistance of 840 Hrs., is guaranteed when tested as per ASTM B 117 and evaluated as per our stringent specifications.

CLEANING

MWS Wire Wheels are craftsman built products, and to maintain their best condition in service, the following instructions should be followed. Regularly clean the wheels with soap and water solution or a recommended cleaning fluid. Rinse wheels thoroughly and dry off. If chromium plating appears tarnished, use a good quality chrome cleaner, allow to dry, then polish with a clean dry cloth, ensuring that the cleaner is removed. For further protection, apply a good quality wax polish. In extreme conditions or when cars are stored for any length of time, a light spray oil can be used (taking care not to spray the oil on brake disks). It is also advisable to occasionally remove the wheels from the car and clean the back of the wheels. It is important to note that what sometimes appears as rusting patches quite often turn out to be surface rust caused by road grime, brake dust etc. and must be removed quickly by the above method.
